Our Story
How it began…
I am a native Cape Codder, born and raised in Falmouth. I grew up sailing the waters of Cape Cod, playing on its beaches and eventually working on its shores.
While raising our children on the Cape I noticed there was an opportunity in the local market for a children’s clothing brand, which started the wheels turning. I wanted a logo that could encompass the love of this place I’m fortunate enough to call home, so over many date nights brainstorming ideas for a design it came to me. What is more iconic than the codfish itself which the Cape is named for and the distinctive map of Cape Cod? Right there at the back table in Trevi, Cape Codfish was born.
What started as a children’s clothing brand has morphed into a brand for all and we’re so excited to share it with you. I hope you love your Cape Codfish gear and wear it on many future adventures. From the ocean to the shore we hope Cape Codfish inspires you to live where the weekend’s long.
Our Commitment
We have started working with an amazing nonprofit here on Cape Cod, Cape Kid Meals. The purpose of Cape Kid Meals is to raise awareness of Cape Cod families facing hunger, and to provide food for school-aged children of these families on weekends when access to school breakfast/lunch programs are not available.
I have started volunteering with Cape Kid Meals by packing bags that will be distributed across the Cape. With a group of wonderful volunteers they are able to pack the 1,000 bags to be distributed to 43 schools across the Cape and Wareham. Seeing their mission first hand, I have decided to take a portion of our sales and put it right back into the community with Cape Kid Meals. Now you can feel good in our clothes and about our clothes too!
